This is a design of a logo for a science research laboratory at my home University in Mar del Plata, Argentina. The GOAL was to create a logo that could communicate their academic affiliation and the nature of their research.
They specifically required an image that could connect the lab to the university that holds them -identified by a wave logo itself- and to their main and secondary lines of research that are developed in plants and bees, respectively. I proposed a LOGO that shows three waves in blue-shades that represent the university and the city of Mar del Plata (located on the seaside) and connect in a nurturing way with a vivid-green, wavy leave. The third component is a low-hierarchy bee, which keeps the main focus on the most representative elements.
